This could be the last post. That is a little sad. However much I dislike homework, and however much this is homework, it's been nice reflecting on what I've learned about studying every week.
Now for the reflection. I finally made some flashcards this week. I don't know what took me so long. They work SO well! Just like everyone told me! it's the second to last week of school, and I finally figured this out. Well, I guess i can use them to study for finals, and then there's the rest of my college career. So it isn't too annoying.
Goodbye?

Big paper
The first draft of my first really big paper was do this week. It turned out, I handled mt time badly again. It wasn't that I didn't do homework, I did. I just put off the paper the whole time. I did other homework. When I wasn't doing homework, I was engaged in constructive activities. But when it was finally the day before the paper was due, it was not even close to being finished. I stayed up really late getting it done. Then I took a nap the next day. That messed up my sleeping pattern, and that is why I am awake right now writing this reflection. It wasn't not worth it.

Spare Time
Last week I got back into doing my homework, which was really good. But I was still doing it later, not during the day when I had time. I would talk to people, or just sit on facebook in between classes, and then when it was getting late and I wanted to go out and do something, I would have to stop myself and do homework.
This was fine, but not very fun. So this week when I got home from classes, I sat down, got off Facebook, and set goals of how much homework I would get done before my next class. It worked brilliantly! I also set rewards for myself if I completed my goals, which really helped too.

Homework
I finally started doing my homework again! I just had to wait until some of it was due, and then I finally got it done. After the first bit of rushed work, I was able to get back into my usual routine of getting work done early. It is too bad that it took an almost failed assignment to get me back in the zone, but as long as I'm back in it, that's all that matters.

Break
For the first time I had a little break last weekend. All my midterms were over, I had no homework due, and not much reading. So I got into a pretty laid back, do-whatever-I-want mood.
That was fun and faine at the time, but then on Monday I started getting homework again. But did I want to go back to doing it? Of course not. It has been really hard to get back into doing my homework.
To make sure this doesn't happen again, next time I have a break I am going to do homework that isn't due yet. That way I'll stay in the homework groove, and get stuff done early!

Survey
I filled out the study habits survey this week. It was a very good experience. I got a lot of ideas about how I could improve my study and other habits. For example, it helped me start using a "To Do" list again, which I'm very glad about.

seeking correction
I went to the writing lab today. At first I was way stoked because the tutors really liked my paper. But I was really humbled as i thought about all the different people who helped me on it. I really have a lot of help at my disposal.
I also recently had an interview with my peer mentor. She's great. I can't imagine all the stuff she goes through for us. Thanks Jolysa!

Teh Hula
I was sitting eating dinner at my friend Corryn's house (Dominos Pizza, even though we did our best to pick it up from papa john's . . . ) When I remembered my assignment to teach three people the hula. I mentioned it to them, meaning to imply that I needed to leave early in order to find three people to teach. Instead, Corryn's mom told me to teach it to her family, she wanted to watch. So we all stood up there in the kitchen and did the Hula. Even her dad did it!
It was awesome to feel so free and at ease with people. They are a great family.

Scheduling, Learning, and Humility
Our assignments for this week were A.) Fill out the planner we recieved from Freshman Academy using our recently obtained syllabus... es... or... syllabi... and B.) Read and mark "A Child of God" by Henry B. Eyring.
It was nice to be assigned to fill out the schedule, because had it been left up to me I would never have done it. It would always be lurking somewhere in the back of my mind, along with all the due dated for assignments. This way, it's just lurking on my desk, all filled out, and all the due dates are lurking inside it. How lovely! (I took a picture, and will add it when I develop it)
"A Child of God" was exactly what I needed to hear. It helped me realize that I need to get off my prideful education horse and and really start to learn. I felt prompted to add a class I've been debating, thinking I don't want the extra homework. I felt the spirit strongly as I read it.

Purpose
The purpose of the Unprocessed Personage Symposium is to document my experience in Fresh Man Seminar.
I want to do mostly Photography, but since I will be using film, I will not be able to post a new photograph as often as I am required to, so I will be doing a combination of video, photo, drawing, writing, and maybe even the occasional song and dance, all referred to under the collective noun "Blog-"
So that's the purpose yo.
I hope you like it.
I hope you read it.
I hope you go to International Cinema.
I hope you don't do drugs.
